West Sulphur Springs, WV –In preparation for their 16th season, the Houston Texans will travel across the country to The Greenbrier for their annual Training Camp.
The Greenbrier – America’s Resort since 1778, is a luxury resort with golfing, shops, spas, restaurants and many indoor and outdoor activities for guests to enjoy. Royalty, celebrities, business leaders, including 27 past American Presidents, flock to The Greenbrier to enjoy some R&R in the beautiful mountainside of the Allegany Mountains. Previously hosting the New Orleans Saints, The Greenbrier will be hosting the Texans Training Camp for the 2nd consecutive year.
The Houston Texans Training Camp begins July 26th and concludes on August 7th when the Texans will travel to Kansas City for their preseason opener against the Chiefs. Head Coach Bill O’Brien is confident the Texans will have a drastically better year than last year where they finished last in the AFC South, behind the Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
The Texans started out strong in 2017 led by their rookie 1st year draft pick, Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson. Watson suffered a torn ACL during practice on November 1, 2017 and missed the remainder of the season. Watson was in the midst of the greatest rookie year ever for an NFL quarterback and in 7 games (6 starts) threw for 1968 yards and 21 touchdowns. Watson’s rehab has gone incredibly well and ahead of schedule and he is slated to join the Texans for the duration of Training Camp.
